In lieu of the release of the Silver Anniversary Retro 2 recently, another pair of Retro 2’s are set to release later on this year. They are very similar to the OG model that was previously released. It features a traditional white/black/varsity red colorway and are scheduled to release May 1, 2010 at Jordan retailers for $135.

The news of the AJ KO White, Black, and Red colorway excited many Jordan-Heads, but also disappointed some at the same time. Many are already planning to pass because of the vintage treatment on the sole. Jordan Brand plans to release the White and Red AJ KO colorway in April with the same vintage treatment, but the canvas material is also slightly yellowed.

We reported last week about the Jordan Retro 2 Premio. It has been confirmed that these will be a limited release (low thousands). Prices are expected to be between $100-$200. The Retro 2 Premio is just a fraction of the Bin 23 collection that will feature Retro Jordan’s made with premium materials. Astor Chambers, Jordan Brand Footwear Business Director stated that “We’ll take that(BIN 23 collection) through the Retro filter, and it’ll be a colorway and material elevation.”

The date for the Silver Anniversary Retro 3, 4,9 has been pushed back one week, to March 27, 2010 Each pair however, will be released at a different retailer making them a bit more of a hassle to get all at once. Check back for updates.

The Jordan Retro 2 Premio tops the design of the Retro 2 Silver Anniversary with features of Dark Cinder leather and crocodile material. Packaged along with the Retro 2 Premio is a wooden shoe-tree, shoe bag, and cardnote, closed shut by a wax stamp. We expect the Retro 2 Premio to be limited because the presence of the wooden shoe tree. No word yet on a release date but check the Release Date page for updates.

These are the Melo M6 Future Sole sneakers. This sneaker was created by Austin Jermacans, a 17 year-old. Austin Jermacans was a finalist for the 2009 Jordan Future Sole competition. Carmelo Anthony posted the picture below, saying that he will wear these in tonight’s home game against the Thunder.

Jordan Brand is expected to release the Retro IX later this year in June. The colorway will be White/ Black-University Blue, similar to the OG Powder colorway. Jordan Brand appears to be bringing out the heavy hitters. Check back for more news.

Back in January, the Jordan Retro 3 white/cement colorway was confirmed to release in 2010. There has been many speculations about a Slam Dunk package also releasing in 2010, but that has not been confirmed yet. A Retro 2 White/black-varsity-red colorway is set to release sometime in May, hinting a possible Slam Dunk pack. The Retro 3 Cement colorway is rumored to release in October, but check the Release Date page for updates.
